SYNOPSIS: The lovely and compliant Bianca wants to get married, but she can't until her older sister Kate is wed. One problem: Kate is a rampant shrew who hates men and likes nothing more than to make them miserable, preferably via a good clout. Bianca and her father plot to marry Kate off to the first likely sucker to come along. But the sucker, wily Petruchio, has a plot of his own -- to tame this shrew and win himself a rich dowry in the bargain.
