PlayBlog A Cover Story: A Little Night Music Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's A Little Night Music receives its first ever Broadway revival, starting Nov. 24 at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

The 1973 musical based on Ingmar Bergman 's "Smiles of a Summer Night" tells the story of the aging actress Desiree Armfeldt who finds herself renewing a romance with a married lawyer when she grows tired of her blustering soldier-lover, and the lawyer grows impatient with his resistently virginal child-bride. Romantic subplots collide during one eventful weekend in the country. The score includes "Send in the Clowns," "Liaisons," "The Miller's Son," "Every Day a Little Death" and "A Weekend in the Country."

Trevor Nunn directs a cast that features Catherine Zeta-Jones, Angela Lansbury, Alexander Hanson, Aaron Lazar, Erin Davie, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Leigh Ann Larkin and Ramona Mallory.
