News A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Starring Eddie Mekka, Begins Nov. 29 in Florida TheatreZone, under the artistic direction of Mark Danni, kicks off its 8th season with the Tony Award-winning musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum beginning Nov. 29 in Naples, FL.

Directed by Danni, the cast includes Tony nominee Eddie Mekka (The Lieutenant) as Pseudolus, Noah Samotin as Hero, Gary Simpson, as Miles Gloriosus, Susan Haldeman as Domina, Bruce Rebold as Lycus, Michael Lundy as Hysterium, Brigid Kegel as Philia, Allan Baker as Senex, David Munnell as Erronius/Eunich, Kara Konken as Panacea, Lauren Culver as Vibrata, Adriel Munoz as Protean, Dawn Lebrecht as Gymnasia and Carolann Sanita as Tintinabula.

 "Forum is a light, fast-paced, witty and irreverent play considered to be one of the funniest musicals ever written with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart," said director Danni in a statement.

The production, which features choreography by Karen Molnar and music direction by Charles Fornara, continues in a limited engagement through Dec. 9.
