The concert, which saluted Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall (prior to its forthcoming renovation), will air in the metropolitan area May 3 on WNET/Thirteen from 8-9:30 PM; check local listings. Tom Brokaw emcees the telecast, which includes performances by David Robertson and the Juilliard Orchestra; Wynton Marsalis; composer-pianist Philip Glass; avant-garde artist Laurie Anderson; members of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center; and two-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara. O'Hara stepped in for the previously scheduled Audra McDonald, who withdrew due to the recent tragic death of her father.
Kelli O'Hara was most recently on Broadway in the Tony-winning revival of The Pajama Game, earning a Tony nomination for her performance as Babe. She was also Tony-nominated for her work as Clara in The Light in the Piazza. O'Hara's other Broadway credits include Jekyll & Hyde, Follies, Sweet Smell of Success and Dracula, the Musical. She was also recently seen in the Reprise! staging of Sunday in the Park with George.
