PlayBlog A Rapture-ous Actress Will Sing Pop at Joe's Pub Lindsay Mendez, one of the so-called "Mennonettes" of Broadway's Everyday Rapture, will slip out of her back-up singer's dress and into new duds — and the solo-singer spotlight — for one night, June 28. Mendez, who also appeared in The Marvelous Wonderettes Off-Broadway and Kathleen Marshall's Grease on Broadway, will perform pop and jazz standards with the Marco Paguia Trio at Joe's Pub at 9:30 PM Monday.


Vocalist Mendez and jazz pianist Paguia will collaborate on interpretations of the singers and songwriters that inspire them most, including Nina Simone, Dinah Washington, Carmen McRae, Lennon/McCartney, Peter Gabriel, Jeff Buckley, Roger Waters, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, among others.

Paguia is the music director of Everyday Rapture. Pete Donovan is on bass, Dave Ratajczak is on drums.
