We couldn't resist bringing a little sunshine to what will be a complicated weekend on Broadway. Here's some footage of the 1973 Broadway revival of the 1920s musical Irene starring Tony Award nominee Debbie Reynolds, who played the musical's title role. Irene opened March 13, 1973, as the inaugural production of the Minskoff Theatre, where it ran for 594 performances. In addition to Reynolds, the cast included George S. Irving, Patsy Kelly, Monte Markham as Donald, Ruth Warrick, Janie Sell, Meg Bussert and Reynolds' daughter Carrie Fisher.
