LOS ANGELES -- Actors Alley is offering two free shows at its North Hollywood home.
The mainstage space, where George Tricker's Life Support plays Thu.-Sun., will also be occupied on "off" nights (Mon.-Wed.) by Sam Ingraffia's Starfire, directed by Bert Rosario.
A company spokesperson said Ingraffia's drama, set in Los Angeles in 1967, "deals with a blue-collar family forced to examine its ideas about loyalty, love and responsibility as the 'summer of love' explodes around them."
The cast includes Angela Box, Mimi Cozzens and Christina Young.
Director-choreographer David Mingrino's cabaret piece, Desire, opens Jan. 30. Billed as a "politically incorrect musical revue with dark overtones," the show was also conceived by Mingrino and stars Lauri Johnson, Carol Keis, Summer Litwin, Lynn Lowry, Karen Reed and Bobbi Stamm. Chera Bashor, Dale Kleine and Bobbi Stamm are the producers, and the musical director is Debbie Sherman. Desire will be performed Fri. and Sat. at 10:15 PM at Actors Alley at the El Portal, 5269 Lankershim Bld., N. Hollywood. For tickets, call (818) 508-4200.
