News Actors' Fund Annual Gala to Honor Producer Landesman The Actors' Fund of America's annual gala dinner and tribute performance will honor Broadway producer Rocco Landesman, who will receive the Actors' Fund Medal of Honor.

The annual event will be held May 8 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The evening will begin at 6 PM with cocktails, followed by dinner and an all-star tribute performance at 7 PM. Entertainers will be announced at a later date.

About the forthcoming evening, Actors' Fund Executive Director Joseph P. Benincasa said in a statement, "This year we honor a magnificent Broadway producer. The Gala is the highlight of the year for us, because we can honor a producer who’s also a gentleman who’s had a tremendous impact on the lives of people who work in the entertainment industry.”

Producer Landesman added, "It is a thrill to be receiving The Actors’ Fund’s Medal of Honor. The Actors’ Fund is such an integral part of the Broadway community and I am honored to receive an award shared by so many dedicated theatre professionals."

As president of Jujamcyn Theaters, Rocco Landesman has produced such shows as The Producers, Big River, Into the Woods, M. Butterfly, Angels in America, City of Angels, Proof, The Secret Garden and Caroline, or Change.
