Pawk (Broadway's Hollywood Arms) and Obie Award winner Reed Birney (Blasted, Circle Mirror Transformation) play parents to Tony nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger (PH's Saved and Broadway's Spelling Bee), while NAACP Award nominee Victor Williams (of TV's "The King of Queens") plays a construction manager who works for Pawk, whose workaholic character runs a construction firm.

Trip Cullman directs the production, to open Jan. 6, 2011, at PH's Mainstage Theater on West 42nd Street.

Obie Award winner Bock's plays include The Drunken City, The Receptionist, The Thugs and Swimming in the Shallows. Cullman directed The Drunken City for PH, and Swimming in the Shallows.

The limited engagement will play through Jan. 23, 2011.

PH describes A Small Fire this way: "When a tough-as-nails contractor finds her senses slipping on the brink of her daughter's wedding, the impact on her family is nothing less than seismic. A Small Fire is a human parable in which unexpected loss leads to an unlikely love story." Pawk starred in PH's Prayer for My Enemy and Broadway's Mamma Mia! and Cabaret.

The production features scenic design by Loy Arcenas, costume design by Ilona Somogyi, lighting design by David Weiner and sound design by Robert Kaplowitz. Production stage manager is Lori Ann Zepp.
