Karen Akers earned a Tony nomination for her work as Luisa, the long-suffering wife of filmmaker Guido Contini in the original production of Nine and also starred on Broadway in another Tommy Tune-directed musical, Grand Hotel. H

A three-time Tony Award nominee for her performances in Kiss Me, Kate; Ragtime; and Passion, Marin Mazzie was recently on Broadway in the revival of Man of La Mancha.
