News Altar Boyz National Tour to Begin Oct. 10 in Chicago The road show of Altar Boyz, the Off-Broadway musical about a fictional Christian boy band, begins Oct. 10 in Chicago at the LaSalle Bank Theatre.

The touring production stars Matthew Buckner as Matthew, Ryan J Ratliff as Mark, Jesse JP Johnson as Luke, Jay Garcia as Juan and Nick Blaemire as Abraham. The ensemble will remain in Chicago for three weeks before moving on to Boston.

Other cities on the tour include Boston, Baltimore, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The 90-minute entertainment is directed by Stafford Arima and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli. Altar Boyz has music and lyrics by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker with book by Kevin Del Aguila, based on a concept by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport.
