Solo performer Amanda Vogel brings her acclaimed 1995 piece, I Am My Own Cheap Thrill to New York's HERE for a return engagement, April 2 - May 28. This revised version of Cheap Thrill, strives to be just that and maybe even a little more -- not only has Vogel added new material but new costumes, a "fantasy fur set" and a pair of sexy back-up singers.
Cheap Thrill is a critique of what Vogel sees as a "male-dominated culture, utilizing her own stories and newspaper headlines -- she gives voice to the concerns of America's female urban youth.
