News American Ballet Theatre Fall Slate Includes Twyla Tharp, Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon and More The American Ballet Theatre's 2014-15 season will include premieres and classics from choreographers including Christopher Wheeldon, Twyla Tharp, Jerome Robbins and more. Performances begin Oct. 22 at the David H. Koch Theater.

Season highlights include a 10th anniversary performance of Wheeldon's Thirteen Diversions on Oct. 22 as part of ABT's 75th anniversary celebration. The work is set to music by Benjamin Britten and features costumes by Bob Crowley and lighting by Brad Fields. Wheeldon is the director-choreographer of the Broadway-aimed stage version of An American in Paris, which will premiere in December 2014 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

Jerome Robbins' Fancy Free, which tells the story of three sailors on shore leave in New York City during World War II, will be offered for three performances beginning Oct. 23. The piece features a Leonard Bernstein score with scenery by Oliver Smith, costumes by Kermit Love and lighting by Jennifer Tipton after original designs by Nananne Porcher.

Beginning Oct. 29 ABT will present three performances of Twyla Tharp's Bach Partita. The piece is set to Johann Sebastian Bach's Partita No. 2 in D minor for solo violin. The ballet features costumes by Santo Loquasto and lighting by Jennifer Tipton. The ballet is staged for ABT by Susan Jones.

Principal dancers include Isabella Boylston, Paloma Herrera, Julie Kent, Gillian Murphy, Veronika Part, Xiomara Reyes, Hee Seo, Herman Cornejo, Marcelo Gomes, David Hallberg, Daniil Simkin, Cory Stearns and James Whiteside.

Tickets for the ABT fall season go on sale July 14 at ABT.org.
