News And the World Goes ‘Round Benefit Concerts to Be Held in California The West Coast Ensemble Theatre in Hollywood, CA will present two weekends of And the World Goes ‘Round concerts to benefit the company’s new theatre space.

Directed by Richard Israel, the award-winning Kander and Ebb revue will be offered Feb. 24-26 and March 3-5. The cast of the production will feature Erika Amato, Melissa Bailey, Andrea Covell, Don Cummings, Bill Dispoto, Lilo Grunwald, Johanna Kent, Lisa Picotte, Dana Reynolds, Jan Sheldrick, Brian Weir and Peter Welkin. Johanna Kent will be the musical director for the revue with additional musical direction by Richard Berent. Leslie Stevens will supply musical staging, and Lisa D. Katz will design the lights.

And the World Goes ‘Round features music by John Kander and lyrics by the late Fred Ebb. The original Off-Broadway mounting was conceived by Scott Ellis, Susan Stroman and David Thompson and won the 1991 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical Revue. The show features 28 songs from such Kander and Ebb musicals as Cabaret, Chicago, Zorba and Kiss of the Spider Woman.

Show times are Feb. 24 and 25 at 8 PM, Feb. 26 at 3 PM, March 3 and 4 at 8 PM and March 5 at 3 PM.
