News Andrew Lloyd Webber to Receive BASCA Fellowship at U.K.'s Ivor Novello Awards Andrew Lloyd Webber will receive a BASCA Fellowship (presented by the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors, the professional association for music writers of all genres in the UK), at this year's Ivor Novello Award, being held in London May 17.

He will be presented with the award by Leslie Bricusse.

Regarded as the highest accolade that a composer can receive from his peers,  it recognizes unique creative talent in music writing together with iconic achievement for and on behalf of composers. BASCA Fellows are exceptional artists and ambassadors for the song-writing and composing profession and BASCA's role within it.

Other BASCA Fellows currently include John Adams, David Arnold, Sir Malcolm Arnold, John Barry, Don Black, Pierre Boulez, Sir John Dankworth, David Ferguson, George Fenton, Sir Elton John, Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, Robin Gibb, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Peter Maxwell Davies and Sir Tim Rice.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Lloyd Webber having consecutive musicals running in the West End.
