The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc. announced that in celebration of the upcoming anniversary, Macy's will donate proceeds from the sale of the newly recorded version of "Gift of Light" to the Foundation for projects at Liberty and Ellis Islands, working in partnership with the National Park Service.

Featuring music by Grammy-winning composer Doug Katsaros and words by Emmy-winning lyricist William Schermerhorn, "Gift of Light" was first recorded by Ann Hampton Callaway and The Broadway Inspirational Voices for the 2004 Macy's 4th of July Fireworks score.

In honor of the Statue of Liberty's anniversary, the song has been expanded and recorded as a special feature of the musical accompaniment for the Macy's Fireworks display, the celebration's grand finale.

The new version of "Gift of Light," now available on iTunes, celebrates the Statue as a gift of friendship from France to America and features Rose and Marshall.

Rose won the Tony Award in 2004 for her performance in Caroline, or Change. She has also been seen on Broadway in Footloose and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Marshall is currently performing as Jacqueline in the national tour of La Cage Aux Folles.
