Boy is inspired by the real-life 1960's tale of a baby boy who is terribly maimed in an accident. The child's parents are persuaded by a doctor to raise the infant as a daughter. ”Two decades later, the repercussions of that choice continue to unfold,” state production notes. ”A story of the blinding power of love and the complicated mystery of one’s perception of self, Boy is a moving play that calls into question how we become who we are.”

The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row is located at 410 West 42nd St., Manhattan. For more information and to purchase tickets visit Keencompany.org.
