The feature, which will be penned by Karl Gajdusek, is described as a female-driven, paranoid thriller. Hathaway will produce alongside Adam Schulman, Sarah Perlman and Stefan Sonnenfeld.
Hathaway recently signed on to star as Fantine in the film version of the musical Les Miserables, produced by Cameron Mackintosh.
In the Les Miz film, to be directed by Oscar winner Tom Hooper, Hathaway will join Academy Award winner Russell Crowe as Javert and Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean.
Hathaway was seen on stage in The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night in 2009. The performer received an Oscar nomination for her performance in "Rachel Getting Married." Her other film credits include the upcoming Batman picture "The Dark Knight Rises," "The Princess Diaries," "The Devil Wears Prada," "One Day," "Bride Wars," "Love and Other Drugs" and "Alice in Wonderland," among others.
