News Anthony LaPaglia, Ed Asner, Frances Conroy Join James Denton for Animated "All-Star Superman" Tony Award winner Anthony LaPaglia and his fellow stage and screen stars, Ed Asner and Frances Conroy, will lend their voices to "All-Star Superman," an animated adaptation of one of the stories in the classic comic book series.

The new film is set for release in spring 2011, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "Desperate Housewives" star James Denton will be the voice of the title hero, who becomes oversaturated by radiation while completing a rescue mission near the sun and is left with limited time to make sure Earth is safe. Christina Hendricks ("Mad Men") will be heard as Lois Lane, and LaPaglia (Lend Me a Tenor, A View from the Bridge, "Without a Trace") will be heard as the villainous Lex Luthor. The voice of Asner (FDR at Pasadena Playhouse, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," "Lou Grant") will bring Perry White to life, with Conroy ("Six Feet Under," The Ride Down Mt. Morgan) as Ma Kent. Also heard will be Linda Cardellini, Arnold Vosloo and Matthew Grey Gubler.

Written by Dwayne McDuffie and directed by Sam Liu, the Warner Bros. release is based on a DC Comics story written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Frank Quitely.
