The Water Dream features book, music and lyrics by Shawn Cody. The musical, according to press notes, is "a new multi-media music-theater work, featuring whale puppets and an on-stage aquarium of real water. It's the story of a critical mythologist (Rapp) who, through facing loss and love in his life, becomes the author of an awe-inspiring original myth."
