Mothers and Daughters examines a young woman's attempt at a relationship, despite her ineffective ties to her parents -- a physically absent father and an emotionally absent mother. Arnold is the author of Stranger in the Family, Burnt Orange and Saints in Retrograde.

Mira Gandy, making her stage debut after a career as a painter and singer, stars as the young woman with Michael Sanders as her father and Mizan Kirby-Nunes as her mother. Also in the cast are Denise Madison and Arlene McGruder.

Tickets are $25-$20 with a two drink minimum. The Triad Theatre is located at 158 West 72nd Street. For reservations, call (212) 362-2590 or (212) 726-5714.
