Lisa Peterson (The Poor Itch) will direct the 7 PM reading of the play that is described as a Chicano take on the Sophocles tragedy Electra, set in a contemporary Los Angeles barrio. The Revelation Reading cast will feature Vanessa Aspillaga, Elisa Bocanegra, Bertila Damas, Judith Delgado, Alma Martinez, James Martinez, Tony Plana, Maria Elena Ramierez, and Socorro Santiago.
Upcoming Red Bull Revelation Readings include Peter Shaffer's The Royal Hunt of the Sun, directed by Joe Hardy (Feb. 23); and Miguel de Cervantes' The Siege of Numantia, presented by Moisés Kaufman (March 2).
