For adults 65 years or older, tickets priced $46.50 will be available for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening performances at 7:30 PM (tickets will be available at the box office starting at 5:30 PM) and Wednesday matinees at 2 PM (tickets will be available at the box office starting at 12 noon). Beginning Jan. 6, 2009, Tuesday performances will begin at 7 PM.
The August plan marks the first time a Broadway show will offer rush tickets to senior citizens.
August: Osage County currently stars Estelle Parsons as Violet Weston with John Cullum, Johanna Day, Robert Foxworth, Scott Jaeck, Brian Kerwin, Madeleine Martin, Michael Milligan, Dee Pelletier, Molly Regan, Samantha Ross, Amy Warren and Frank Wood.
Directed by Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Anna D. Shapiro, August: Osage County, according to press notes, is "the explosively funny comedy-drama focusing on the Weston family following the disappearance of the family's patriarch."
