The Canadian-born improv musical The Greatest Musical Never Written, which challenges its cast and creative team to write and perform an original, two-act musical at each performance—all based on audience suggestions—is being workshopped in New York this week, with industry presentations set to take place June 17 at the Birdland Theater.

Tony Award-winning Avenue Q and In the Heights producer Robyn Goodman and Josh Fiedler of Aged in Wood Productions are lead producers on the latest version of the musical that received its Canadian premiere in 2013.

Alan Kliffer, the show’s creator and director, helms the New York workshops along with improvising musical direction by Mark Sonnenblick.

The producing team also includes Brian and Dayna Lee, Kliffer Entertainment, Merrie L. Davis of Next Act 2 Follow, and Nicole Kramer.

Industry presentations will take place at 11 AM and 3 PM. Industry tickets may be requested at [email protected].
