News Barbara Cook Postpones Jan. 12 American Songbook Concert Following Surgery Tony Award-winning soprano Barbara Cook, who is recovering from recent surgery, has postponed her Jan. 12 American Songbook concert at the Allen Room.

The Candide and Sondheim on Sondheim star is recovering from hernia surgery and has postponed her concert to Feb. 15 at 8:30 PM. The concert was set to launch the 2011 American Songbook series.

Representatives for the American Songbook state that ticket holders may attend the February concert using their original tickets. Refunds are also available. The American Songbook customer service line is (212) 875-5456.

The 2011 American Songbook series will also include concerts by theatre composer and arranger Lance Horne, Tony Award-winning actress Anika Noni Rose, four-time Tony Award nominee Raúl Esparza and Finian's Rainbow Tony nominee Kate Baldwin. For a complete schedule click here.
