Directed by Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr. (Closer Than Ever, Miss Saigon), the evening of song and story will officially open June 12 for a limited engagement. Just Jim Dale replaces the previously announced production of Bekah Brunsetter's Cutie & Bear, which has been postponed.

Here's how the evening is billed: "In Just Jim Dale, Jim recounts an unequaled lifetime in the theatre and myriad irresistible showbiz tales – from a childhood performing on the British Music Hall stage, through his many Broadway triumphs in Scapino, Barnum and Me and My Girl, to his uproarious experiences narrating all seven Harry Potter audiobooks. Candid and intimate, Just Jim Dale is an unforgettable collection of stories from Jim’s breadth of theatrical work and beloved songs," including "The Colors of My Life," "The Lambeth Walk" and "Georgy Girl."

The creative team includes Mark York (pianist and co-arranger), Aaron Gandy (music direction by co-arranger), Anna Louizos (sets), Rui Rita (lights) and Carl Casella (sound).

In 2012 Dale appeared in the Roundabout revival of The Road to Mecca. Dale is a Tony Award winner for Barnum and has been Tony-nominated for Candide, Scapino, Joe Egg, Barnum and Threepenny Opera. Dale was nominated for an Academy Award for writing the lyrics for the song "Georgy Girl." He is an inductee into the American Theatre Hall of Fame. In 2003 Queen Elizabeth II honored Dale with the Member of the Order of the British Empire.

Roundabout subscribers are the first to have access to tickets for Just Jim Dale. An on-sale ticket date for members of the general public has not been announced. Visit RoundaboutTheatre.org or phone (212) 719-1300 for more information.
