The annual luncheon, which salutes a member of the Theater Hall of Fame who continues to work on Broadway, also presents grants to emerging theatre artists.
Scheduled to salute Grey are two-time Tony winner Bernadette Peters, Julie Halston, Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth, Oscar winner Stephen Schwartz and cast members from Anything Goes. Also scheduled to attend are award-winning artists Patti LuPone, Angela Lansbury, Jack O'Brien, Estelle Parsons and Frances Sternhagen.
Past honorees include Marian Seldes, James M. Nederlander, Edward Albee, Sternhagen, Lansbury, Tommy Tune and Rosemary Harris.
The 2012 Theater Hall of Fame Fellowships were selected by 2004 Theater Hall of Fame inductee costume designer William Ivey Long and 2011 Theater Hall of Fame inductee producer Woodie King Jr. Long selected emerging costume designer Amy Clark (Nice Work If You Can Get It, Sister Act, Fela!, Wicked and Little Mermaid). King selected actor/director Eric Lockley of the Movement Theater Company. His works have also been presented at The Flea and Atlantic Theater Company.
Grey won the Tony Award in 1967 for his performance in Cabaret. He was nominated for his performances in George M!, Goodtime Charley and The Grand Tour. He currently stars as Moonface Martin in the musical Anything Goes at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
