An Evening with Betty Buckley and Kenny Werner, which will draw upon the repertoire the acclaimed duo has performed over the past two decades, will be presented in both Boston and Los Angeles. Concertgoers can expect to hear several tunes from Buckley’s critically hailed Smoke program as well as tunes from earlier collections.

A one-night engagement at Boston’s Regatta Bar & Grill in the famed Charles Hotel is scheduled for Feb. 11; show times are 7:30 and 10:30 PM. Following the Boston performance, Buckley and Werner will head to L.A. where they will perform Feb. 15-19 at the Catalina Bar & Grill. Show times are 8:30 and 10: 30 PM.

Betty Buckley offered acclaimed performances in Sunset Boulevard, Carrie, Song & Dance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 1776 and Promises, Promises. She won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella in the Broadway production of Cats, and she starred on the London stage in Promises, Promises and Sunset Boulevard, earning an Olivier Award nomination for her work in the latter. Also a TV ("Eight Is Enough") and film (Tender Mercies) star, the actress-singer devotes much of her time to concert appearances around the world. Her solo CD, "Stars and the Moon: Betty Buckley Live at the Donmar Warehouse," was nominated for a Grammy Award, and her newest recording, "The Doorway," is her first for the Fynsworth Alley label. The actress was also seen on the final three seasons of the acclaimed HBO series "Oz" as well as in the Lincoln Center revue, Elegies: A Song Cycle.

Kenny Werner’s solo recordings include “Beyond the Forest of Mirkwood” and “298 Bridge Street.” He has played with such jazz greats as Bob Brookmeyer, Ron Carter, Joe Williams, Chico Freeman, Sonny Fortune, Peter Erskine, John Abercrombie, Jackie Paris, Bobby McFerrin, Lee Konitz, Billy Hart, Marian McPartland, Joe Henderson, Tom Harrell, Gunther Schuller, Ed Blackwell, Paul Motian, John Scofield, Jack DeJohnette, Eddie Gomez, Dave Holland, Charlie Haden and Toots Thielemans.
