News   Between Worlds, a "Flamenco Fantasia," Will Dance Into New World Stages
Between Worlds, a dance theatre piece that tells a story by fusing Flamenco dancing with "cross-cultural percussion," will get a limited engagement Off-Broadway starting March 4.

Created by Grammy nominee Pablo Croce (director-producer) and the internationally known choreographer-performer Siudy, the "Flamenco fantasia" will open March 20 at New World Stages' Stage 1, at 340 West 50th Street, for a run to May 22.

The show — with a full title of Siudy: Between Worlds (Siudy: Entre Mundos) — is billed this way: "Between Worlds bursts through artistic and cultural boundaries, transporting us to a future where water has all but disappeared and desperate tribes war with each other and the elements for survival. Only one force is powerful enough to save humanity from itself — love. Twenty-two performers from around the globe drum and dance in a kinetic and provocative blend of Flamenco, urban dance and percussion to create a multi-sensory theatrical experience for the whole family."

In addition to Siudy, the company features Roberto Castillo, Adolfo Herrera and Joaquin Gomez "El Duende," Analí Alcantara, Patricia Cinquemani, Claudia Gonzales, Patricia Morean, Natalia Novela, Daniela Rosi, Adriana Olivares, Samantha Zerpa, Brian Abadia, Aquiles Acosta, Celina Beach, Melissa Sadler, Thomas Hernandez, Omar Amado, Diego Alvarez, Jesus Orta, Veronica Palacios and Maria Corina Salcedo.

Choreography is by Siudy, Roberto Castillo, Jesús Orta and Brian Abadia; scenic design is by Neil Patel; sound design is by Marcelo Añez; projection design by Jan Hartley; urban costume design is by Veronica Porras & Joey Rolón; and Flamenco costume design is by Siudy & Siudy Quintero. Original music is by Diego Franco, Ernesto Briceno, and Roberto Castillo, with additional music is by Pepe Perez and DJ Leo Castillo.

Tickets ($79.50 and $59.50) are on sale now at or (212) 239-6200. The performance schedule is Monday at 8 PM, Wednesday-Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 4:30 PM & 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM. Dark on Tuesdays.
