News Bikel's Sholom Aleichem Solo Show Gets Extra Week in DC Due to overwhelming audience response and high demand for tickets, Theater J in Washington, DC, will extend Theodore Bikel's one-man show, Sholom Aleichem: Laughter Through Tears, a world premiere with story and song, through Jan. 18, 2009.

Performances play the Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theater at the Washington DCJCC. Seven shows have been added: Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at 7:30 PM; Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at 7:30 PM; Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at 7:30 PM; Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at noon; Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 at 8 PM; and Sunday, Jan. 18 at 3 PM and 7:30 PM. Tickets for the extension week are available at boxofficetickets.com or at (800) 494-TIXS for $30 to $60.

To accommodate this extension in the Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theater, DAI (Enough), part of Theater J's "Voices From a Changing Middle East Festival," written and performed by Iris Bahr, will be presented in the Milton Theatre at Studio Theatre Jan. 14-18, 2009. The performance schedule has also been adjusted. Performances will take place Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at 7:30 PM; Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at 7:30 PM; Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at 7:30 PM; and Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
