News Bill Heck Will Join Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu in CBS' Upcoming "Elementary" Stage and screen actor Bill Heck will play a recurring role on the upcoming CBS series "Elementary," according to Deadline.com.

As previously reported, the project, written by Robert Doherty, is a modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes, who, in this version, resides in New York City. Michael Cuesta will direct.

Jonny Lee Miller, who was seen on Broadway in After Miss Julie and alternated the roles of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature in the 2011 West End production of Frankenstein, will star as Sherlock Holmes. The series will also feature Lucy Liu (God of Carnage).

Heck will play Ty, a handsome old friend of Joan's (Lui) and an up-and-comer in the New York District Attorney's office.

Heck, who has been seen on Broadway in Brooklyn Boy, has also appeared in the Off-Broadway productions of Angels in America, The Orphans' Home Cycle and The Merchant of Venice. Visit his page at the Playbill Vault.
