Faith Prince will be Dead star Christopher Walken's new singing partner beginning March 14. Prince recently finished a run in the Drama Dept. Off-Broadway revival of George Kelly's The Torchbearers. Prince will play Gretta Conroy in Richard Nelson and Shaun Davey's musical adaptation of the short story by Joyce. In the musical, Gretta's past love of a boy (now dead) is aroused when she sees his likeness in the face of a fellow party guest at a Christmas gathering.

The tuner, embraced as an antidote to brassier pop fare on Broadway, is directed by Nelson and uses poetry fragments, music hall songs and original pieces for its score.

Prince won the Tony Award for playing Miss Adelaide in the revival of Guys and Dolls.

If the Tony Award fates are kind to The Dead, Brown would be the eligible Best Actress in a Musical nominee for originating the role on Broadway.
