News Block Celebrates Solo CD, "This Place I Know," July 1 at Barnes and Noble 9 to 5 star Stephanie J. Block celebrates the release of her solo debut recording, "This Place I Know," with a performance and signing at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes and Noble July 1.

At 5:30 PM Block will share highlights from her album of contemporary theatre music, which features accompaniment and/or duets with the composers whose songs are represented on the recording. Joining Block for the event are composers Paul Loesel, Stephen Flaherty, Andrew Lippa and musical director Dominick Amendum.

In addition to her role as Judy Bernly in the new Broadway musical 9 to 5, Block has appeared on Broadway in The Pirate Queen, The Boy from Oz and Wicked. Her performance in the national tour of the Stephen Schwartz musical earned the actress a Helen Hayes Award.
