Bob Bergen, one of the leading voice-over artists in Hollywood, will launch his one-man show Bob Bergen: Not Just Another Pretty Voice Feb. 7, at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center. Performances are Monday nights only at 8 PM for an indefinite run.Bergen's solo rap describes how, from the age of five, he wanted to be Porky Pig. It was a goal he never wavered from and which he achieved after the death of the legendary Mel Blanc, the original voice of Porky Pig. Essaying 34 characters through the versatile vocal manipulations he is well known for, Bergen takes his audience on a sometimes surreal trip of his life and career. He is currently part of the small crew of voice actors doing the great Warner Brothers' "Looney Tunes" characters. Besides Porky Pig, he has voiced Tweety Pie, Sylvester Jr. and Marvin the Martian in such projects as Steven Spielberg's "Tiny Toons," the Michael Jordan-Bugs Bunny feature "Space Jam" and the popular MCI spots. He is also the on-camera host of "JEP," an updated version of the classic "Jeopardy," running on the Game Show Network.

Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center is located at 11006 Magnolia Blvd. in NoHo. For tickets and information call (818) 761-0704.
