As previously announced, Drew Lachey, the second season champion of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" who is currently playing Patsy in Broadway's Spamalot, will host "Broadway on Broadway," the annual, free outdoor concert in Times Square that celebrates the upcoming theatre season. Among those scheduled to make appearances and/or perform are Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid), Kerry Butler (Xanadu), Tevin Campbell (Hairspray) Carolee Carmello (Mamma Mia!), Kerry Ellis (Wicked), Bailey Hanks (Legally Blonde), Cheyenne Jackson (Xanadu), Beth Leavel (Young Frankenstein), Hunter Parrish (Spring Awakening), Mary Testa (Xanadu), Tom Wopat (Chicago), Jackie Hoffman (Xanadu) and Ace Young (Grease) as well as over 200 cast members from 13, Avenue Q, Billy Elliot, Chicago, Grease, Gypsy, Hairspray, In the Heights, Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, Monty Python's Spamalot, Pure Country, Tale of Two Cities, [title of show], The Phantom of the Opera, The Little Mermaid, Wicked, Xanadu and Young Frankenstein.

The performers will be backed by a 30-piece orchestra.

Presented by Continental Airlines and produced by The Broadway League and the Times Square Alliance, the 17th annual event will begin at 11:30 AM ET. Over 50,000 fans are expected to enjoy the concert that includes performances and/or appearances from stars of Broadway's musicals and plays.

In a previous statement Lachey said, "It is an honor to be hosting this year's 'Broadway on Broadway.' I am delighted to be a part of the Broadway community and I love this great city. I look forward to showing the Broadway fans from New York and around the world just what we have to offer."

Host Lachey, a member of the pop group 98 Degrees, made his Broadway debut in Rent.
