This Is Now is described as a "unique meditation/rant/monologue on the state of 'now.'" Show time is 8 PM. Bogosian, according to press notes, "will be riffing on some of his past work while Sharp underscores the text and provides interludes on various instruments." "Overall," Bogosian said in a statement, "the piece is a long rant [that] addresses the mindset of the American 'now.'" Adds Sharp, "It is a carefully structured evening with a narrative (albeit not necessarily linear) arc."
Eric Bogosian, recently seen as The Devil in Stephen Adly Guirgis' The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, is perhaps best known for his plays Talk Radio and subUrbia. As a performer, he appeared in his one-man works Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll; Pounding Nails in the Floor With My Forehead; Drinking in America; and Wake Up and Smell the Coffee.
