News Book of Mormon Star Working on Movie About Famous Wrestler Josh Gad, Tony Award nominee for originating the role of Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon, will co-write a film about charismatic wrestler Gorgeous George, according to Deadline Hollywood. No word yet on whether Gad will also play the role.

Gad will co-write the yet-untitled script with Ryan Dixon for WWE.

Gorgeous George (1915-1963; real name George Raymond Wagner) was known for his flamboyant public persona, as well as his mop of blonde curls. He developed a villainous ring persona reflected in his motto, "Win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat!"

Gad has several film projects in the works. He recently wrapped his appearance as Le Fou in the 2017 live-action "Beauty and the Beast." He's scheduled to play Roger Ebert opposite Will Ferrell’s Russ Meyer in "Russ and Roger Go Beyond."
