Written by Ken Davenport (Altar Boyz, My First Time, The Awesome 80s Prom) and Sarah Saltzberg (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), the open-ended engagement will begin previews Oct. 7 at the Downstairs Cabaret Theater at Sofia’s with an official opening scheduled for Oct. 24. Davenport will also direct.
Plumb will be making her New York theatrical debut in the lead role of Miss Abigail.
Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating, & Marriage is based on Abigail Grotke's popular book and tells the story of "Miss Abigail, the most sought-after relationship expert to the stars—think Dr. Ruth meets Emily Post—and her sexy sidekick Paco, as they travel the globe teaching Miss Abigail’s outrageously funny 'how-tos' on dating, mating and marriage."
Show times will be Wednesday at 2 PM, Thursday and Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM, 5 PM and 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM and 7:30 PM.
