The Right Size Theatre Company's The Play What I Wrote begins previews Oct. 19 at the Wyndham's Theatre. Shakespearean actor and director Kenneth Branagh will direct the two Olivier Award-winning comic talents, Sean Foley and Hamish McColl, of The Right Size Theatre Company, in a show inspired by the hugely popular comedians Morecambe and Wise.

The Play What I Wrote makes its West End premiere at the Wyndham's Nov. 5. The production is presented in association with Liverpool's Everyman Theatre, where it opened for a short run prior to arriving in the West End.

The Play What I Wrote is the first new production in the West End's Wyndham's Theatre in five years, replacing Yasmina Reza's long running comedy Art, which moved to the Whitehall Oct. 16.

Inspired by comedians Morecambe and Wise, whose signature tune was 'Bring Me Sunshine,' they did just that for thirty years. A hugely popular fixture of British television, one of their regular themes would be that Ernie had written a play — cue glamorous guest star and a chance for dressing-up and larking about.

The Right Size's most recent production, Bewilderness, co-starred Freddie Jones and played at the Lyric Hammersmith in May this year. Their previous hit was the acclaimed comedy Do You Come Here, which transferred from Edinburgh to the West End, and won the 1999 Olivier Award for Best Entertainment. Kenneth Branagh is best known for his film works including Henry V, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing and most recently his musical adaptation of Love's Labours Lost. Branagh will be making his return to stage as an actor next year in the Sheffield Crucible's version of Richard III.

Tickets for Sunshine go on sale Aug. 28.
