Tony winner Brian Stokes Mitchell, most recently on Broadway in the new musical Shuffle Along, will make his solo Feinstein's/54 Below debut in 2017.
The award-winning singing actor will play the intimate venue June 13-24, 2017. Tickets, which are currently on sale to Club 54 members, will go on sale to the general public January 9 at noon.
In his Feinstein's/54 Below debut, Mitchell will feature selections from his recent album, Simply Broadway, filled with his favorite Broadway tunes from a nearly three-decade career.
Brian Stokes Mitchell won the 2000 Tony, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama Desk awards for his performance as Fred Graham/Petruchio in Kiss Me, Kate, and his other Broadway credits include lead roles in Shuffle Along; King Hedley II; Ragtime; Kiss of the Spider Woman; Jelly's Last Jam; Oh, Kay!; Mail; and the City Center Encores! presentations of Do Re Mi and Carnival. Television audiences are familiar with Mitchell's work from his roles on Trapper John, M.D., Roots, and Frasier. Mitchell is Chairman of the Board of the Actors Fund.
Mitchell will also perform aboard Playbill Travel's Broadway on the High Seas 8 cruise in February 2017.
