The 9 PM ET concert, hosted by Audra McDonald, features mezzo-soprano Blythe paying tribute to the late Kate Smith. Accompanied by Craig Terry, Blythe performs works famously sung during Smith’s legendary career, including “When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain,” “We’ll Meet Again,” “God Bless America” and “Look for the Silver Lining.”
Blythe is also featured in the April 26 broadcast of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel, which airs at 9 PM. The opera singer is joined by Kelli O’Hara and Nathan Gunn, among others.
The final broadcast of the season airs on May 24 at 9 PM with multiple Tony winner McDonald performing at a special gala concert.
