News Broadway's Barbara Marineau and Scott Burkell Will Be Featured in Michigan Catered Affair Harvey Fierstein and John Bucchino's short-lived Broadway musical A Catered Affair will make its Michigan premiere March 25-April 10 at the Farmers Alley Theatre.

Directed by Joe Aiello and Scott Burkell, the cast will feature Barbara Marineau (Beauty and the Beast, Shenendoah, Best Little Whorehouse), Joe Aiello, Burkell (Titanic), Jeremy Koch, Denene Mulay Koch, Tim Brown, Gina Maria Chimner, Amanda Martin, Priscilla Cronley Swiat and Sandy Zwier.

Marie Kerstetter is the music director.

A Catered Affair, according to press notes, "tells the story of a Bronx mother’s efforts to give her only daughter the elaborate wedding she never had – and her daughter never asked for — as it explores our need for love and the true meaning of family."

Fierstein penned the book to the musical with a score by Bucchino.
