On Oct. 16, at a reading of the script of the beloved theatre-related film "All About Eve," the part of fictional, acid-penned theatre critic Addison DeWitt will be played by real-life, acid-penned theatre columnist Michael Riedel. Joining the New York Post writer will be Charles Busch as Margo Channing and Martha Plimpton as Eve Harrington.

The reading also features Marc Kudisch as Bill Sampson; Lucie Arnaz as Karen Richards; Laurence Luckinbill as Lloyd Richards; Carole Monferdini as Birdie Coonan. The reading also features Guy Strobel on the piano and is directed by Carl Andress.

The reading will benefit Abingdon Theatre Company and will take place at 6:30 PM at The Players Club on Gramercy Park South. Cocktails and dinner will lead up to the reading.

The Gala, which honors Judy and Steven Gluckstern, will also feature a silent auction and a raffle with opportunities for cameo appearances in the upcoming Abingdon season, a weeklong stay at a guesthouse in Scotland, Yankees and Rangers tickets, and other fantastic prizes.
