News Callow and Garland's Hampstead Fundraiser

Simon Callow - one of London's best-known actors, whose one-man show on Charles Dickens returns to the Albery Theatre on March 7 - is to have an evening on stage with director Patrick Garland: Acting is Impossible; An evening with Simon Callow and Patrick Garland at Hampstead Theatre on March 3.

The evening, in which both men recall their lives in the theatre and some of the larger-than-life characters they have met, promises to be a fascinating occasion, during which the stage will be peopled with ghosts and memories of the legends of twentieth century theatre.

Both men are accomplished raconteurs, and both have written books on well-known actors: Callow has written biographies of Orson Welles and Charles Laughton, Garland of Sir Rex Harrison.

Tickets are £75 (£20 ticket plus a minimum £55 donation) and for further details contact the box office on 020 7722 9301.
