COSTA MESA, CA -- South Coast Repertory has announced the cast for Oleanna, opening March 6 on SCR's Second Stage.

Michael Canavan and Lynsey McLeod will star in David Mamet's two-character play dealing with explosive sexual politics in academia.

Canavan created the role of Taylor in SCR's premiere of Craig Lucas' Prelude to a Kiss and McLeod made his SCR debut in John Guare's Six Degrees of Separation.

The play, a hit Off-Broadway, will be directed by Artistic Director Martin Benson. The design team includes John Iacovelli (sets), Amy L. Hutto (costumes), Tom Ruzika (lights), and B.C. Keller (sound). Kristen Ahlgren is production stage manager.

The theatre also announced spring classes in acting and playwriting. Adult Conservatory sessions begin Mar. 23 and continue for nine weeks. Classes in acting fundamentals, intermediate acting, improvisation and playwriting will be taught by instructors including John Glore, Hal Landon Jr. and Greg Atkins.
