LAB artistic director John Ortiz, along with co-artistic directors Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Gould Rubin invite friends and fans to watch "'The Battle of the Bands,' as four teams of celebrities thrash it out for 90 minutes in three fearless sets of speed-charades," according to an announcement.

Newly added names include Bob Balaban ("Gosford Park"), Bobby Cannavale (Mauritius), Billy Crudup (The Coast of Utopia), Alan Cumming (Cabaret), Edie Falco ("The Sopranos"), Craig "muMs" Grant ("Oz"), Joe Pantoliano ("The Sopranos"), fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, David Schwimmer ("Friends"), Joey Slotnick (Almost an Evening), Justin Theroux ("Six Feet Under") and Kristen Wiig ("Saturday Night Live").

They join Hoffman, Ortiz and the already announced Ana Ortiz ("Ugly Betty"), Judy Reyes ("Scrubs"), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent), Yul Vázquez ("American Gangster") and David Zayas ("Dexter") with celebrity guests Rachel Dratch ("Saturday Night Live"), Richard Kind ("Spin City"), Aasif Mandvi ("The Daily Show") and Christopher Meloni ("Law & Order: SVU"). (All players subject to availability.)

Eric Bogosian (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot) will preside over the Charades, while between games John Patrick Shanley (Doubt) will host a live auction.

The evening also honors Carole Shorenstein Hays with The Dave Hogue Award. The prize — presented for "artistic courage and outstanding dedication to LAByrinth Theater Company" — has previously been bestowed upon Daryl Roth, Ira Pittelman, Madonna, Bennington College and George C. Wolfe. All proceeds from the annual event will support LAB's 17th season. Tickets and tables are available via e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at (212) 513-1014.

The "Celebrity Charades" event will take place at Terminal 5 (610 West 56th Street, at 11th Avenue). For more information visit labtheater.org.
