A statement released from the Burbank, CA, venue reads: "Falcon Theatre deeply regrets announcing that famed actress Carol Burnett, scheduled to star in the second show of its all-comedy 2007-2008 subscription season, must cancel her appearance due to an unexpected family situation."
No replacement for the star has been named. Producers are currently deciding upon another actor.

Producer-director Garry Marshall announced the theatre's sixth subscription series, which is titled "Comedy Tonight! (and matinees, too). The five-show series, all comedies, will include world premieres by Charles Grodin and the company's constant collaborators, The Troubadour Theater Company. (One show is yet to be announced.)
The 2007-2008 season at the Falcon Theatre (subject to change) follows:
Susan Morgenstern directs the work, which is billed as "A Metaphysical Farce." "All Bob wants to do is jump out a window. Is that too much to ask? As Bob discovers, he has to go through Heaven and Hell before he can LEAP!"
Chris Smith directs the world premiere centering on "an under-qualified life coach specializing in couples' therapy. She knows that she could really help them…if only they weren't so crazy."
Matt Walker directs the latest world premiere from The Troubadour Theater Company, which parodies "the 1965 animated television classic and make[s] it funky with music from the Godfather of Soul."
Granville "Sonny" Van Dusen (Falcon's Darwin in Malibu, Golf with Alan Shepard) stars in "a one-man show revealing a lighter side of Abraham Lincoln you have never seen before." Jenny Sullivan stages the Falcon run based on Delbert Mann's original direction.
