California's Troubadour Theatre Company's amalgamated production of A Midsummer Saturday Night's Fever Dream that was scheduled to close Jan. 28 at Burbank's Falcon Theatre has extended through Feb. 24.
The play which merges Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream with pop sounds of the '70s (ala "Saturday Night Fever") began performances Dec. 27. The offbeat production was directed by Matt Walker.
Troubadour is a Los Angeles-based ensemble made up of actors, comedians and musicians who have been bringing their fast-paced and irreverent adaptations of classic plays to audiences since 1993. Past TTC productions include Butt Pirates of the Caribbean,Clowns' Labours Lost and their presentation of Twelfth Dog Night, which received an award from the L.A. Theatre Critic's Circle.
