CHICAGO -- Chicago may have lost one of its most exciting companies to that other Second City. Roadworks Productions, which launched an exhilarating U.S. premiere of Mike Leigh's Ecstasy at the Victory Gardens Theater, has remounted the production at L.A.'s Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. The L.A. production, which closes March 1, received rave reviews from Dramalogue, the New Times and the L.A. Weekly.

The Chicago actors in the cast, several of whom have signed on with California agents, have no plans to return to a Chicago winter -- or, it seems, spring, summer or fall. Just watch out for earthquakes, folks.
