Casting has been announced for Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival’s production of Ken Ludwig’s The Three Musketeers, which begins previews July 12 prior to an official opening July 14.

The limited engagement will continue through August 6 in repertory with Shakespeare’s As You Like It at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of DeSales University.

Ludwig's adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ The Three Musketeers will be directed by fight choreographer Rick Sordelet.

“Ken’s script delivers an adventurous coming of age story with fast paced twists, amazing sword play, Machiavellian intrigues and justice triumphing over evil,” says Sordelet.

Ludwig’s reimagining of the timeless tale, which brings to life the heroic characters of D’Artagnan and the famous Musketeers, features Sean Patrick Higgins as D’Artagnan, Stephanie Hodge as Sabine, Ian Merrill Peakes as Athos, Zack Robidas as Porthos, Alexander Sovronsky as Aramis, Marnie Schulenburg as Queen Anne, Paul Kiernan as Cardinal Richelieu, and Stella Baker as Milady.

The production will also feature choreography by fight director Christian Kelly-Sordelet (Rick Sordelet's son), design by Brian Sidney Bembridge, costume design by Sam Fleming, lighting design by Masha Tsimring, and sound design, musical compositions, and music direction by actor Sovronsky. Alison Hassman serves as the production stage manager; Carolyn Reich is the assistant stage manager.
